Twas the Night before the Very First Christmas was born out of that desire. As the idea began to play in my head, I slipped out of bed and into the stillness of the living room, where I jotted down the words under the light of the family Christmas tree. My story uses the recognizable cadence of Clement Clark Moore's familiar version of Santa Claus to share the birth of Jesus.
